Mayor Pro Tem DOUG DAVERT is currently Chairman of the Orange County Sanitation District. He also serves as Vice Chair for the Orange County Fire Authority and as liaison to the Tustin Unified School District. He represents Orange County cities on the California Identification Remote Access Network Board of Directors. In addition, he has served on the Tustin Senior Fund Board of Directors and Orange County Council of Governments.

He has been active in community service in many capacities which include the Tustin Planning Commission (Chairman, Vice Chairman), Tustin Pride Committee (Chair, Secretary), Area Council for Fine Arts (Secretary), and Tustin Old Town Association. In addition, he served on the Tustin Public Schools Foundation as both co-chair and volunteer for the yearly Dinosaur Dash. He has served on the Community Development Block Grant Citizen Participation Committee and Tustin Community Foundation as well as various Tustin Unified School District committees.

Mayor Pro Tem Davert has a B.A. from Chapman University and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. He is a partner in the law firm of Davert & Loe. In addition, he serves as Judge Pro-Tem for the Long Beach /Los Angeles Superior Courts.

Mayor Pro Tem Davert was raised in Tustin. He and his wife, Melanie, have two daughters, Grace, 8, and Laura, 6.
