Pickleball
Veterans Sports Park has 8 pickleball courts open to the public. Court hours are Monday-Sunday, 8:00am-10:00pm.
Pickleball court reservations can be made to the general public for personal use during facility reservation use hours. Reservations can only be taken by phone.
A court may be reserved up to 5 business days in advance, and there are no standing reservations. One pickleball court reservation per person at a time, maximum two per household. Reservations are a maximum of 2 hours each. No same-day reservations are permitted.
To make a pickleball court reservation, you must call the Parks and Recreation Department at 714-573-3326.
Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-5:30pm and Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Rates: $8 per hour for Tustin Residents, $10 per hour for non-Tustin Residents

With over 35 years of teaching, knowledge, and insight on the technical, mental, physical, and strategic play of tennis, Rick turns his knowledge to Pickleball, one of the fastest-growing sports in the USA. As an instructor, Rick aims to help every player have more fun on the Pickleball court. A former instructor at prestigious clubs such as Laguna Niguel Racquet Club, Mission Viejo Country Club, and Tustin Hills Racquet Club, Rick approaches court play with in-depth experience and an informed knowledge of the game. Now reaching the pinnacle of his career, Rick is establishing a premier Pickleball Academy at Veteran’s Park in Tustin.

The mission of Rick Miller Pickleball Academy is to custom-design various Pickleball programs that will elevate a player’s Pickleball game, incorporating fun into effective training. Rick’s dedication to the sport and to instruction leaves students with a well-rounded understanding of the game, as well as a spirit of fun and competition. JEHAN UNANTENNE
IPTPA Certified Instructor, USAPA Orange County Ambassador
Jehan, or Jay, has had a passion for sports from a very early age. Growing up in Sri Lanka, he was fortunate enough to be exposed to and excel at different sports (Water Polo, Tennis, Table Tennis, Rugby), and he later went on to play professional water polo for the Sri Lanka National Team.
Jay immigrated to the United States in 2011. The sportsman in him drew him toward learning the new sport of Pickleball and, in a very short time, he mastered the game. He became an IPTPA certified instructor, giving private lessons and teaching group classes. He is a sponsored player for the TOPP brand. In May 2018, Jay won Gold in the Men's Open Pro division at the Tustin Memorial Day Pickleball Tournament. Jay has conducted several Pickleball clinics and boot camps in CA, NV AK, AZ. He also serves as a USAPA Ambassador for Pickleball for Orange County.
