Be a Sommelier for the day and explore the vineyards in Temecula California, situated 300 miles south of Napa Valley. Temecula Valley is ideal for growing and producing high-quality wine grapes on the 1,400foot plateau, which is located below the peaks of the local mountain ranges. The substantial cooling factors of the neighboring mountain ranges affect the flavor and development of the grapes, which leads to the creation of the lovely wines you can savor on this delightful day trip. Before we head over to the wineries, you will have the opportunity to explore Old Town Temecula, and enjoy a quick bite to eat!
CARLSBAD FLOWER FIELDS $79 per person
Monday, April 8, 2024, 8:30am-5:00pm
The Carlsbad Flower Fields are a direct result of roughly 85 years of floral cultivation that started with Luther Gage, a horticulturist and early settler in the early 1920’s. Mr. Gage brought flower seeds to the area and began growing them in his fields next to Frank Frazee’s farm in South Oceanside. In 1933 Frank Frazee also began growing ranunculus and taught his son Edwin the art of seeding. At the age of 16, Edwin Frazee began to work full time on his father’s growing flower project. Over time their passion project has helped create the Carlsbad Flower Fields. They, along with Mother Nature have helped transform the rolling hills of north San Diego County into one of the most remarkable and harmonized displays of natural color and beauty in the world.
