Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation

Tustin Softball Leagues are governed by the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF) Fast and Slow Pitch Softball Rules with certain exceptions set forth in the Tustin rules. The City of Tustin's Parks and Recreation Services has final authority over any disparities.

Bats

All bats must be on the current Amateur Softball Association/USA Softball (ASA/USAS) certified equipment list and display an ASA/USA stamp. Regardless of ASA/USA certification, the use of multi-walled/shelled or layered bats, bats with composite or titanium barrels, or modified bats is not permitted for use in all leagues.

How much does it cost for a season for softball?

Spring, Summer, & Fall - $505/team, $485/returning team

Winter - $305/team, $285/returning team

How many weeks does a season have?

10 weeks with a chance for 11 or 12 with playoffs. The winter season is a shortened season of 6 weeks, with a chance for 7 or 8 with playoffs

Are umpire fees included?

Yes, they are included in the team registration fee.

How many players per team?

16 players per team.

Can I be added to a team?

Unfortunately, we do not assign players to teams. Please feel free to reach out to be added to our Free Agent list. 

Is there a free agent list?

Yes, there is a Free Agent list. Please contact adultsports@tustinca.org

How do I sign up for a softball team?

Please contact adultsports@tustinca.org

Can I pay later, or do I have to pay in full right away?

You must pay in full at registration.

What kind of baseball bats are allowed?

Single wall metal barrel, non composite construction bats are allowed in our league. Please look at our bat guidelines above if you have further questions.

Where are the softball games located?

Softball games are located at Tustin Sports Park, Veterans Sport Park, and Columbus Tustin Park.

When are game times?

6:45 PM, 7:50 PM, 8:55 PM

How many innings per game?

A maximum of 7 innings per game unless the time limit of 1 hour is reached beforehand.
