You are invited to attend our upcoming City Council Meeting where the Council will consider an ordinance pursuant to Senate Bill 9 (SB9), also known as the California H.O.M.E. Act. Senate Bill 9 went into effect on January 1, 2022, and requires cities to approve, by right, two housing units per single-family lot, and the subdivision of single-family lots into two, subject to certain qualifying criteria. Members of the public can attend the meeting in person or online, and the meeting details, including log in information, can be found below. Written comments can also be submitted in advance of the meeting to CityCouncil@tustinca.org
HOA boards are encouraged to consult with your legal counsel on allowing or prohibiting these new development options within the HOA’s CC&Rs.
