[ARCHIVED] City of Tustin Under Curfew from 8:00 p.m. Tonight, June 1, to 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2

City Hall

The City of Tustin has ordered a curfew beginning at 8:00 pm tonight and ending at 5:30 am tomorrow.

The curfew order is in response to multiple days and nights of civil unrest in neighboring cities as a proactive measure to ensure the safety of Tustin’s residents and businesses.

The City of Tustin fully supports the public’s right to peaceably assemble and protest. We are a strong community, supportive of each other and collectively stand against racism, bigotry, and hate.

Further, the City will not tolerate violence, vandalism, rioting, or looting.

What’s prohibited:

During the curfew order, all persons are prohibited from traveling on public streets, alleys, parks, or any public place. Traveling for purposes that include seeking emergency care, going to and from work, religious services, seeking or giving emergency care are exempt. All law enforcement, fire and medical personnel, City personnel, as well as personnel authorized by the Tustin Police Department (TPD) and credentialed members of the services are also exempt.

The City of Tustin is actively monitoring  for criminal activities in our community as we evaluate the need for any further curfew orders.

The Tustin Police Department is working closely with its law enforcement partners, is fully staffed to enforce any curfew orders, and is actively patrolling the city to ensure the safety of our community.

Additionally, the TPD remains deeply committed to the Vision, Mission and as they serve our community every day, especially during times such as these:
