CDBG Funding Applications
Application Submittal
Non-Public Services:
Non-Public Service Activities include, but are not limited to: fair housing services, removal of architectural barriers, housing rehabilitation, commercial or industrial rehabilitation, acquisition, construction or rehabilitation of shelters, senior centers or health centers.
Applications for Non-Public Services are now open and will close promptly at 5:31 pm, Friday, January 9, 2026.

Public Services:
The City of Tustin maintains a three-year funding cycle for Public Service (non-profit) activities.
CDBG applications for Public Service activities for program years 2026-27, 2027-28, and 2028-29, are now open and will close promptly at 5:31 pm, Friday, January 9, 2026.

Application Timeline
- November 2025: Notices of Funding Availability (NOFA) to be released for the 2026-27 through 2028-29 Program Year for public service applications, and for the 2026-27 annual funding cycle for non-public services activities.
- January 2026: Deadline to submit applications for public services and non-public services.
- February 2026: Citizen Participation Committee to hold a public hearing to review the public service applications for the 2026-2028 three-year funding cycle.
- April 2026: Public hearing to be held before the City Council, including approval of 2026-2028 public service funding, 2026-27 non-public service funding, and the 2026-27 Action Plan.
- July 1, 2026: CDBG program year 2026-27 begins.
