Deep Watering Trees
As drought conditions continue, it is important that steps be taken to ensure we do not lose trees as a result of lack of water. Periodic deep watering of trees is the best way to encourage deep roots and efficiently use water in the landscape. The guide to the right provides general information on how to deep water trees.
Responsibilities
The Landscape Division is responsible for the maintenance and care of 16,000 trees located within the public right-of-way and on public property. This includes:
- Planting
- Root pruning
- Specialized tree activities
- Tree inspections
- Tree removal
- Tree trimming
